Summerhays in Fifth Place at John Deere Classic; Clay Ogden Makes Cut in Web.com Event

It’s been 12 years since Daniel Summerhays won back-to-back titles at the Utah State Am and on this State Am weekend it is good to see him playing well on the PGA Tour. At the halfway point of the John Deere Classic he stands in fifth place with scores of 65-67-132 and is only two shots out of the lead held by three players.
On Utah State Am weekend Daniel Summerhays, the last back-to-back champion of the tournament, is now walking the fairways of the PGA Tour, and at the halfway point of the John Deere Classic he stands in fifth place with rounds of 65-67-132 and is just two shots off the lead.
His high school and college teammate, Clay Ogden, was the only one of six Utahns to make the cut at the Utah Championship Web.com event being played at Willow Creek Country Club. Ogden shot rounds of 68-68-136 which was right on the cutline.
Utahns who were also playing in the Web.com event were Zac Blair and Zach Johnson, Derek Penman, Joe Summerhays, and web.com tour regular, Dusty Fielding.
Leading the Web.com event is Chad Collins at 16 under par 236, ten shots ahead of Ogden.
