Strong Final Round Gives Summerhays a Top Ten Finish
Daniel Summerhays finished strong in the final round of the Greenbrier Classic and finished in the top ten with rounds of 65-67-73-67-272, a three under par score on the par 70 course. The strong finish after a disappointing third round moved him into ninth place.Summerhays wasn’t in the top ten of any statistical category this week except the final score. So much for statistics.The tournament was won by Jonas Blixt with an opening round of 66 followed by three straight 67s. Three players were tied for third, two shots back of Blixt.Mike Weir played in the tournament, but didn’t make the cut. Phil Mickelsen also missed the cut.
