Jeff Powars Fires 66 at Glen Eagle State Am Qualifying
Jeff Powars, perennial contender for the Utah State Am title, blistered Glen Eagle with a six under par 66 to claim medalist honors in the Glen Eagle Qualifying Tuesday. Two other State Am veterans, Corey Matthews and Brandon Hargett also shot under par and assured reappearances at the State Am.
The cut came at 77 with Chad Crowther, Justin Shaw, Curtis Cook, and TJ Telford winning spots through a playoff. Losing in the playoff were Mason Murphy, Brett Higgins, and Matthew Isbell.
