Forsman Shares First Round Lead, But 25 Within Two Shots Including Blake

Dan Forsman’s 69 in the first round of the Principal Charity Classic puts him in a four-way tie for first place, but there are 25 players within one shot of him and so it’s nothing to get too excited about just yet. Nevertheless he shares the lead in a three-day tournament and has certainly put himself in position for a high finish. He is tied with Scott Hoch, Duffy Waldorf, and Tom Lehman. Jay Don Blake is among those close on his heels. Blake posted a first round 71.
On the Big Tour Daniel Summerhays took a quad on a par three and shot himself out of weekend at the Memorial. The second round wasn’t completed because of darkness and Mike Weir had two holes to play and could make the cut.
On the Tour Dusty Fielding shot 71-77-148 and missed the cut by five shots.
