Jorgensen Leads Richfield to 2A Girls State Championship

Richfield, led by medalist Carly Jorgensen, won the Utah Class 2-A Girls Golf championship Tuesday at Lakeside Golf Course with a team Stableford score of 266, 16 points ahead of second place Beaver. Rowland Hall finished just one point behind Beaver.
(The Stableford scoring system gives extra points for birdies and eagles and limits the number of strokes on any hole.)
Jorgensen was the best player on the course and recorded a Stableford score of 82, which converted to golf’s standard scoring system was a 78. Ashley Stubbs of South Summit trailed Jorgensen by three Stableford points for second place individually.
In addition to Carly Jorgensen, Richfield’s team members were Aubrey Porter, Sloane Roundy, Brittany Franks, Lauren Poulsen, and Keali Kimball.
