California Routs Fresno Lexus Field, Cougars Miss Second by One Shot

California ran away with the Fresno State Lexus Classic today, winning the title by a comfortable 47 strokes. The close battle came for second place where host Fresno State edged BYU by just one shot.
California posted the top three individual scores in its rout of the field. Michael Kim won medalist honors with rounds of 68-65-67-200 followed by teammates Brandon Hagy with 68-69-69-206, and Michael Weaver with 69-68-70-207. Check that out! That’s eight out of nine rounds in the 60s. The highest round posted by any of the three was 70.
Individually Allan Jun of UC Irvine finished fourth with rounds of 67-71-70-207 and BYU’s Zac Blair finished in a tie for fifth with rounds of 68-72-69-209.
There were 17 teams in the tournament and the University of Utah finished 17th.
