California Dominates Burns Intercollegiate, Cougars Finish Third
With no one shooting par in the final round BYU dropped to a third place finish at the John Burns Intercollegiate tournament in Hawaii Friday.
California turned in another steady performance and won the title with three individuals finishing in the top three places. BYU’s Zac Blair finished fourth individually.
New Mexico took advantage of BYU’s poor final day showing to leapfrog over the Cougars into second place.
Utah had its best day of the tournament during the final round and moved up to a 14th place finish. The Utes actually beat the Cougars on that final round by three shots, but finished the three days 42 shots behind the Cougars.
