Cougars In Second Behind California at John Burns Intercollegiate

BYU moved from third to second in the team standings at the John Burns Intercollegiate tournament in Hawaii, but California doubled its lead over the Cougars from eight strokes to 16 strokes going into the final round.
California has three players among the top five leaders.
Joe Parkinson shot the best second day score for the Cougars, a one under par 71. Zac Blair followed up his opening round of 70 with a 72 and is in third place.
Utah is also entered in the tournament, but trails all teams except BYU-Hawaii.
