McNeese Dominates at Ocotillo; Kelsey Chugg Earns Medalist Honors
McNeese State, located in Louisiana, easily won the Lumberjack at Ocotillo golf tournament this past week at Ocotillo Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona. McNeese had the low team score all three days of the tournament and had three of the top five individual scores. McNeese finished 27 shots ahead of runnerup Northern Arizona. Weber State finished third, eight shots behind Northern Arizona.
Weber’s Kelsey Chugg was the individual medalist. She shot a final round of two under par 70 to edge three other players by two shots. Sadie Palmer, of Southern Utah, was among the second place finishers. She shot steady rounds of 77-74-76.
