Tigers Wins Another Million Easily; Weir, Summerhays Finish 68th

In his first start of the year Tiger Woods shot a final round 72 and coasted to a four shot win to post his 75th PGA Tour victory and his eighth at Torrey Pines Monday. He had a six shot lead going into the final round.
Two former BYU players in the tournament, Mike Weir and Daniel Summerhays,  finished in a tie for 68th place and pocketed $12,200 each. It seems a bit measly compared to the $1,098,000 that Woods dropped into his bank account. However, for Weir it was a big day. He hadn’t made a cut on tour for a year and a half and so the paycheck was warmly received. For Summerhays it increased his 2013 earnings to nearly $50,000.
The tour now moves to TPC Scottsdale for the Waste Management Open.
