Fielding, Wilson Each Shoot 67s, Move Up the Q-School Leaderboard

Dusty Fielding and Dean Wilson each shot their best rounds of the PGA Tour Q-School Friday and moved up the leaderboard significantly. They each shot five under par 67 and that moved Fielding from 82nd place to 53rd place and only two shots above the cutline. Wilson’s 67 moved him from 127th place to 84th place.
There are still three rounds to go and so at the halfway point they are both very much in the hunt. The low 25 and ties earn their PGA Tour Cards for 2013.
Fielding now stands at 72-70-67-209 and is at minus seven.Wilson stands at 72-73-67-212 and is at minus four.
Scott Pinckney, the other Utah connected player in the competition, is near the bottom of the leaderboard after shooting 75-71-74-220 and is four over par in 155th place.
There are 13 players in the field who have shot in the 60s in all three rounds which indicates that it is going to get tougher and tougher to move up the board. Everyone in front of Fielding and Wilson is obviously very consistent.
If the tournament had concluded today there would be 43 players earn their tour cards as it includes the low 25 and ties.
The leader of the tournament is Meen Whee Kim at 18 under par with rounds of 68-63-67-198.
