Check out what has been happening in Utah Golf.
Is This One for the Record Books?
Is it a Utah golf record? Is it one for the history books?
Without a compiled history of such records one just has to wonder about these things and do some guessing.
One criteria would simply be “Has anyone ever heard of it happening? Followed by “Is it likely to ever happen again?”
What are we talking about?
Last weekend at the Palisade Amateur five players shot four under par 68 and tied for the Palisade Amateur Championship. Does that fit the criteria for calling it a state record?
Pete Bennett, Brady Hughes, Broden Hughes, Brad Millard, and Jordan Rogers each shot 68 totie for first place and second place, as a footnote, was Jason Struck with a 70.
Interestingly, the low net scores were only three strokes lower at 65 net. The winners were Dave Thompson and Josh Howard.
Mason Powell won B Flight gross with a 72, and Matt Hill won the net honors with a 66.
