Wright, Wojtkun Take Lead in Mid-Am at Victory Ranch
Amid high winds that sent scores soaring State Am champion Jon Wright and Greg Wojtkun shot two over par 74s to grab the first round lead of the UGA Mid-Am-Masters tournament at Victory Ranch. Five others are within one shot of the lead. Those five are Bill Probst, Corey Matthews, David Jennings, Jed Rammrell and Gary Knight.
The tournament is a three-day 54-hole tournament and concludes Saturday.
Last year’s champion Dan Horner is not playing this year. He is playing in this year’s USGA Mid-Am Championship that begins Saturday in Illinois.
Jon Wright is also the leader in the Masters Division with Bill Probst just one shot back. Last year’s Masters winner was Brent Bryson and he is not entered this year.
