Owen Edges Blair for Talons Title; Fairbanks Easily Wins Senior Title

John Owen edged Zac Blair by one shot to win the Talons Cove Amateur Saturday with rounds of 66-73-137. Blair shot 68-72-138. He missed a short putt on the 16th hole that would have put him in a tie with Owen at that point, but he couldn’t catch him on the final two holes.
 
Justin Keiley shot the best round of the tournament, 64, and it catapulted him into a third place finish.
 
The last two champions of the Talons Cove Amateur, Mike Branca and Clay Bingham, finished at even par 144.
 
The best two rounds of the tournament were turned in by Scott Fairbanks who easily won the Senior Division with scores of 69-67-136. The Senior Division played from the Gold Tees.
