Two Former Utah State Am Champs Advance to Match Play at USGA Amateur Public Links

Two former Utah State Amateur champions have advanced to match play at the USGA Amateur Public Links Championship at Soldier Hollow. Match play begins Wednesday morning on the Soldier Hollow Gold Course.
 
Zac Blair, who won his State Am title at Valley View in 2009, will play Byron Meth of San Diego, at 8:20 a.m. and Dan Horner, who won his State Am title at Soldier Hollow in 2008, will face Jacob Knapp of California at 11:40 a.m.
 
Justin Keiley, a BYU teammate of Blair’s, also advanced to match play and will face Ryan Werre of Canada at 12:20.
 
Horner, Blair, and Keiley each shot two under par 140 and each of their first round opponents shot 145.
 
Nick Drost, winner of the SLC Amateur, missed qualifying for match play by three shots, as did Adam Tebbs, of the BYU golf team.
