Banz, Blair Win Utah Junior Amateur Titles

Salt Lake City’s Austin Banz won the boys State Junior Amateur Match Play at the Alpine Country Club on Friday with a 5 and 4 win over Ogden’s Alex Herzog in the 15-18 age division. The win earned his an exempt berth in the Utah State Amateur to be held in July at The Country Club.
For the girls, South Jordan’s Sirene Blair defeated Farmington’s Jessica Sloot 5 and 4.
