Summerhays Just Two Shots Out of Lead at Memorial
At the halfway point of the Memorial Championship at Muirfield Daniel Summerhays is in fifth place and only two shots out of the lead held by Rory Sabbatini. Summerhays has managed rounds of 69-71-140 while Sabbatini has carved out back-to-back 69s. Tiger Woods is one shot ahead of Summerhays with rounds of 70-69-139.
Summerhays double bogeyed the 17th hole and a par there would have given him a share of the lead.
Could this be a break through week for Summerhays? It’s a big tournament and has a strong field and would be a big victory if he can pull it off.
