Special Golf Clinic Monday Precedes ‘Babe” Tourney on Tuesday at Hidden Valley

The American Cancer Society has arranged a special treat for women golfers interested in improving their golf talent. In conjunction with the annual ‘Babe’ Golf Tournament at Hidden Valley Country Club the American Cancer Society has arranged a golf clinic to be given by distinquished teaching professional Penny Zavichas. She is the niece of ‘Babe’ Didrikson Zaharias for whom the tournament and clinic are named.
 
The clinic will be held on Monday, June 4th, at Hidden Valley Country Club from 10 a.m. to noon and the tournament will be held the next day, Tuesday, June 5th.
 
The cost of the clinic is $25 and the entire amount will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
 
Zavichas is one of the outstanding golf instructors in America. She played on the LPGA Tour for seven years and served on the LPGA Executive Board. In 1973 and again in 1992 she was named the LPGA Teacher of the Year. She is a member of the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame and her Craft-Zavichas Golf School is recognized as one of the top 25 golf schools in America.
