A Triplicate: Sirene Blair, Bingham Miners Win 5A Title for Third Straight Year

For the third straight year the Bingham Miners won the 5A Utah High School Girls Golf championship and for the third straight year Sirene Blair won the medalist honors while leading her team to victory. While Bingham won the team title by a whopping wide margin of 18 Stableford points, Blair was pushed by teammate Sam Crawford for the medalist honors with Blair posting a 74 and Crawford just two strokes back at 76. Alta finished second and Copper Hills finished third.
The tournament was under the direction of the Utah Section of the PGA and was played on the Mountain Course at Wasatch Mountain State Park.
This past month Blair shot an eye-popping 68 and finished second in the Glenmoor Open in a men’s tournament played from the deepest tees.
She has not selected a college yet, but is considering colleges located in climates where golf is playable all year.
