Dusty Fielding Shares NPGT Lead at Midpoint; Finau Lingering

Tony Finau, former Utah State Amateur champion, won the last two events on Golfworld’s National Pro Golf Tour, but in this week’s events it is another Utahn, Dusty Fielding, who holds the lead at the halfway point of the Florida Cup being held at ChampionsGate, Florida.
Fielding, from Richfield, shot a seven under 65 to move into a share of the lead after the second round. He shot 70 in the first round and stands nine under par 135. Sharing the lead with him is Cyril Bouniol with rounds of 68-67.
Finau is lingering in 25th place with opening rounds of 72-71, but is only eight shots off the pace and still has his eye on the first place prize.
Clay Ogden had a good second day and is in 15th place with rounds of 72-69. Dustin Pimm is in 53rd place with rounds of 77-69. Nick Killpack is three shots behind Pimm with 77-72. Daniel Smith shot 76-74 and is at 150 and Stuart Gold has had a rough tourney with rounds of 79-78.
