Summerhays Appears To Have Made Cut at Houston Open

It appears that Daniel Summerhays made the cut at the Shell Houston Open with rounds of 72-69-141 which is three under par and two shots above the anticipated cut line. The second round was suspended because of heavy rains and about 50 players have not finished.

Summerhays stands eight behind the leaders Brian Davis and Louis Oosthuizen who finished at 11 under par. Jeff Maggert is at ten under par, but hasn’t finished. There are five at nine under par, including Phil Mickelsen.

Top names who probably will not make the cut include D.J. Trahan, Charl Schwartzl, Camilo Villegas, Darren Clarke, Paul Casey, Scott Verplank, Stewart Cink, and Aaron Baddeley.

The tournament is being telecast on NBC at 1 p.m. Mountain Time.
