Wojtkun Leads UGA Mid-Am With Horner, Clark On His Heels

Greg Wojtkun, who made a big splash earlier this year at the Utah State Amateur, grabbed a one-stroke lead in the UGA Mid-Am, Masters Championship today at Alpine Country Club with a two under par score of 70-72-142. That was good for a one shot lead over veterans Dan Horner and Scott Clark who finished at one under par 143. Close behind is Darrin Overson at one over par 145 after firing a second round score of 69. The final round of the 54-hole tournament is tomorrow. Wojtkun, Horner, and Clark are paired in the final threesome with a 9:35 tee time.

Wojtkun established a great amateur record in Massachusetts before moving to Utah several years ago. He is the club champion at Jeremy Country and reached the semifinals of the Utah State Am earlier this year. Horner is a past Utah State Amateur champion and Clark has been a runnerup in the Utah State Am and is a past champion of the UGA Mid-Am.
