Annette Gaiotti Qualifies for Two USGA Championships for Second Time

In a rarity for most golfers, Annette Gaiotti will play in two USGA national championships for the second time in three years. She qualified for the USGA Women’s Mid-Am and then also qualified for the USGA Women’s Senior Amateur, a feat she duplicated in 2009.

In the USGA Women’s Mid-Am qualifier Gaiotti shot a 79 at the Phoenix Country Club which was good for a third place finish and a spot in the finals. She then shot 76 and won medalist honors in the USGA Women’s Senior Amateur qualifying at the Arizona Country Club.

The USGA Women’s Senior Amateur will be held September 10-15 at The Honors Course in Ooletwah, Tennessee, and the USGA Women’s Mid-Am will be played at Bayville Golf Club in Virinia Beach, Virginia, September 17-22.

Gaiotti is not a newcomer to USGA national championships. She has played in numerous USGA championships over the past 15 years. She has played in the USGA Senior Am eight times and made seven cuts and was in the semifinals in 2005. She has qualified for the USGA Mid-Am four times and made two cuts.
