Reid Goodliffe First to Tee Off in Reid Goodliffe Utah Senior Open at Toana Vista

Reid Goodliffe, the retiring head professional at Toana Vista Golf Course, will be the first to tee off in the Reid Goodliffe Utah Senior Open Wednesday on his home course. Goodliffe will be paired with three of his long time fellow professionals, John Evans, Kean Ridd, and Joey Bonsignore.

Following the first round of the 36-hole tournament a banquet will honor Goodliffe for his many years of service as one of Utah’s top professionals. A video presentation along with several speeches will highlight his golfing career. The former Utah State Amateur champion was the head professional of his home course in Brigham City for many years before being recruited for the head job at the new course in Wendover, a position he has held for more than 20 years.

The Reid Goodliffe Utah Senior Open is for both professionals and amateurs and is one of the last two events on the UGA Senior PPR tournament list before selections are made for the Utah team for the Shootout with Arizona. Steve Poulson has a big lead in the rankings, but there is a close battle for second place between two UGA board members, President Bill Probst and former president Al Simkins. The three are paired in separate groups the first day.

The complete pairings are listed on this web page and can be reached by clicking UGA Championships, Utah Senior Open, and then to the far right click on the information you desire, including pairings and results as the tournament progresses.
