Zach Jones Wins St. George Am; Ford, Siddens Top Seniors

Zach Jones carded an eight-under 65 during the first round of the 2017 St. George Amateur at St. George Golf Club to take the early lead in the Regular division by five strokes over Preston Alder and Cameron Crawford. Jones had a bogey-free Round 1 to shoot 33 on the front and 32 on the back.
Jones carded a 35 on the front during Round 2 and finished the back nine at two-over 38 to clinch the victory with a two-day total of 65-73—138. David Jennings posted back-to-back rounds of 71 to finish four strokes behind Jones and claim the runner-up title.
In the Senior division, Corey Ford and 2017 Winterchamps Senior Champion Kirk Siddens were neck-and-neck from start to finish. Ford and Siddens both posted rounds of even-par 73 during the first round to top the leaderboard. After posting two rounds of 75 during the final round, Ford and Siddens shared the title at 73-75—148.
