DENVER – Utah Valley University's Carly Dehlin and Grand Canyon University's Billy Comeaux have been named Western Athletic Conference Women's and Men's Golfers of the Week, respectively, for the week of March 15 through March 21.

Dehlin, a sophomore from Draper, Utah (Alta HS), posted a top-five finish at the rain-shortened Sacramento State Invitational, shooting a 2-over-par 146 to tie for fourth among 75 golfers. Her 36-hole total of 146 is tied for the third-best in UVU history as she finished just five strokes back of the individual leader. She also posted a top-25 finish at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational, carding an 8-over-par 152.

Comeaux, a senior from Tucson, Ariz. (Sabino HS), captured his second straight tournament as the Lopes hosted the GCU Invitational. He was one of just three golfers in the tournament to shoot three sub-70 rounds as he was 10-under-par to earn medalist honors among 96 golfers, finishing with a 54-hole total of 203. As a team, the Lopes took second among 16 teams, finishing six shots back of 20th-ranked Duke.

Other men's nominees: NM State's Luis Medina led the Aggies at the Lone Star Invitational, shooting a 2-over-par 218.

Other women's nominees: None.

Dehlin and the Wolverines will continue spring play at Hawaii's Anuenue Spring Break Classic March 27-29 at the Kapalua Golf Club in Lahaina, Maui.
