SUU’s Concepcion Earns Men’s Golfer of the Week Honors

OGDEN, Utah – Southern Utah’s Fidel Concepcion has been named Big Sky Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week following his performance at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
Concepcion did not have the strongest start to the event, shooting 75 on the first day of the tournament. But he bounced back really strong on the second and third day of the event, shooting a one-under 71 twice to bring his final score to 217.
Concepcion has been the top man on the leaderboard for the first two events of the spring season for Southern Utah.
This is the second time Concepcion has won the award this season, as he claimed the title during the fall campaign as well.

The Thunderbirds will be back at it on the 27th, when they will travel to Long Beach, California, to participate in the 2017 Del Walker Invitational.
