Soifua Leads Women’s Stroke Play Championship at Five Under

Naomi Soifua leads the Utah Women’s Stroke Play Championship at Bountiful Ridge after carding five-under-par 67. Soifua made seven birdies on the day, two of which were back to back on her last two holes. She finished strong to put herself four strokes ahead of three-time Women’s State Amateur champion Kelsey Chugg and ten strokes ahead of 2015 Women’s Stroke Play champion Sirene Blair.
Chugg posted one-under 71 with even-par 36 on the front and one-under 35 on the back. Blair shot 77 to place herself tied for fourth with even par on Bountiful Ridge’s front nine and 41 on the back.
