Nyhus Leads Mary Lou Baker Championship

Sue Nyhus, the women’s golf coach at BYU, grabbed a two shot lead after the first round of the Mary Lou Baker Women’s Open Championship by shooting a one over par 73 at the Glenmoor Golf Course.

She holds a two-stroke lead over Brooke Stewart and three shots over Roberta Scott. The trio of leaders will go first off the tee on Saturday morning at 8:30.

Others who shot in the 70s and are still in the hunt for the first Mary Lou Baker title include Amanda Snyder, Echo Thatcher and Lachell Poffenberger at 77, Annette Gaiotti and Darci Dehlin at 78.
