Dunkle, Horner Go Head to Head for the Title at the Sand Hollow Amateur

Kyle Dunkle, a redshirt sophomore at the University of Utah, shot at final-round 68 to force a playoff with Dan Horner. Dunkle defeated Horner to claim the title at the Sand Hollow Amateur.
Dunkle started the final round two strokes off the lead, but thanks to six birdies and only two bogeys, he was able to match Horner at -6 to force the playoff. Horner missed a par putt on 18 to win the tournament in regulation but was still pleased with the result. Rhett Rassmussen shot 70-71–141 to claim third place, three strokes off the lead.
In the Senior Division, Ron Davis defeated Randy Danjanovich by one stroke with a 74-73–147 to a 76-72–148.
