Butterfus, Timmons Battle in Playoff to Take Home Title at Coral Canyon Amateur

Wes Butterfus wasn’t about to give the title up easily; however, he did have to battle JT Timmons in a playoff to claim the title. Timmons shot a final round 68 to not only secure a spot in the playoff but also to claim the low round of the tournament. Still, that wasn’t enough to overcome Butterfus’s two under final round 70.
Butterfus shot an opening round 73 to put him two strokes off the lead with Timmons shooting a 75 to be four off the lead. They found themselves in a playoff after both playing superb second rounds, both under par. Mitchell Schow Jr. claimed third place with a combined 144, one stroke off Butterfus and Timmons.
Kirk Siddens edged Guy Child and Randy Hicken to claim the Senior title by one stroke. Siddens shot a 71-69–140 with both Child and Hicken shooting a three-under 141.
