Mike Borich Leads Terry Malan Senior Open With Opening Round 67

Mike Borich has a two shot first round lead at the Terry Malan Senior Open at Toana Vista while Jimmy Blair and amateur Scott Fairbanks shot 69s for a second place standing going into the final round today.

 

Roy Christensen and Stu Nelson shot 71s in the professional division and Bill Probst and Ruben Escobedo are very much in the running for the amateur senior title with 71s, just two back of Fairbanks.

 

Tom Rogers leads the Super Senior Professionals with a 71, and former Toana Vista head professional Reid Goodliffe is just one back at even par.

 

Leading the Super Senior Amateur Division is Dave Fischer with a 70 and Al Simkins with a 71.

 

Terry Malan, former head professional at Willow Creek Country Club, was recognized for his years of service to Utah golf at the tournament banquet.
