Joe Webber Takes Medalist Honors at Fox Hollow State Am Qualifying

Joe Webber, current University of Utah golfer, earned medalist honors at the Fox Hollow Utah State Amateur Qualifying Thursday with a two under par 70. Justin Miller, who has played a lot of golf at Tri Cities, shot a one under par 71, and Brady Stanger, a veteran of the Utah State Am and a reinstated amateur, shot one over par 73.

Webber is the second current University of Utah player to win a Utah State Am qualifying this year. Earlier Gentry Hicks won the afternoon qualifying at Stonebridge.

 

Carl Jensen, a past runnerup in the Utah State Am joined Jake Petersen, Jed Rammrell, and Zach Janiec with 74s. Qualifying with 75s without a playoff were Cody Paxman, Justin Larsen, Thad Truman, Tyson Wagner, and Brady Watkins.

 

The cut came at 76 and Cort Trejo survived a four way playoff to earn the last spot. Scott Clark, Clark Jones, and Dan Hatch were also in the playoff. Dan Hatch earned the 1st alternate position and Clark Jones earned the 2nd alternate position.

 

It was the fourth qualifying for the Utah State Am and next qualifying will be Saturday at Eaglewood.
