Finau Makes Double Eagle in Nationwide Tour Event
Tony Finau found an unusual way to play the four par five holes during the first round of the Nationwide Tour event Thursday in Greer, South Carolina. He bogeyed the first par five, but made a double eagle on the next par five, parred the next one, and double bogeyed the final one. He averaged par on all the other holes and finished the round at even par, but that left him tied for 87th place.
Finau’s recent victories on the National Pro Golf Tour earned him an exception into this Nationwide Tour event.
