How to become a member of the UGA

All new members will join through their ‘local club’.   You can obtain a new UGA Membership card at your local club, fill it out and send it into the UGA office, or you can simply call the office and get started right away!  You will be assigned a GHIN # and then mailed a membership card that contains 2 for 1 discounts and other offers.  Once you have a GHIN# you can create an account on www.uga.org and start posting scores, reviewing handicaps, have access to special member offers.  Using your online account is also the eaisest way to renew your membership in the years to come.  Establishing a USGA/UGA Handicap Index requires the member to post at least five 18-hole rounds or 10, 9-hole rounds. Official handicap revisions are issued on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Utah Golf Association membership fees are as follows:

Regular Membership Fee $30.00
Most clubs have activities for their UGA local membership such as tournaments throughout the year for an additional fee.

Junior Membership Fee $10.00
For any member 17 years and younger

Multiple Membership $6.00
Fee for each additional club computer you want your 20-score history to appear.

Transfer Fee $5.00
Transfer your records from one club to another, or to change 18-hole membership to 9-hole or vice versa.

Reinstatement Fee / Late Fee $5.00
